At some point in life we all experience the death of someone special – a good friend, a member of our family, a loved one. This is a painful and difficult time. If you would appreciate someone to talk to, a person who will listen, and maybe pray with you then please do contact us and we can arrange to visit or for you to come to the church.
Equally you may be concerned about organising a funeral. A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.
If you would like to arrange a funeral service or memorial service at St. Stephen’s, or if you would like our Vicar to help with a service at a crematorium or cemetery chapel, then please do contact us. Alongside the undertaker you have chosen, we can give you advice and support in planning the service.
