Brunel Summer Fair

As part of our ongoing support for local events in our community, members of St. Stephen’s led by the Eden Brunel team turned out to organise a variety of fun activities at the Brunel Summer Fair.

A good percentage of the 1000+ residents came out to join in the fun spread across the green in the middle of the estate.

With Polly Haigh getting us all organised, our team provided professional pampering with manicures and hand massage, alongside more active fun in the shape of hoopla, tin-can alley, football shoot-out and hook-a-duck with plenty of prizes for all participants.

St. Stephen’s were very glad to be involved and a great day was enjoyed by all!

Community Coffee House

Friday afternoons on the Brunel estate have been brightened since the advent of our Community Coffee House.

Since late spring our Eden Brunel team have established this new and exciting community initiative for the residents. Thanks to the generosity of Starbucks we were able to distribute free coffee to families enjoying the communal park areas during the good weather of this past summer. In addition, a wide variety of fun activities have been organised for young people in the estate youth centre and these will continue throughout the autumn.

One of our favourite sessions was building rockets from empty plastic drink bottles and sending them into orbit propelled by compressed air!
