Westbourne Park Family Centre – with the support of St. Stephen’s Church – hosted another much appreciated and exciting children’s holiday club from 27-29 May. Each day an average of 44 primary school aged children attended the club for a mixture of fun activities, games, sport, crafts, cooking, dancing etc with opportunities to reflect on the theme of running the race of life. It was a great success with positive feedback from the parents and the young people.
The leadership team were ably assisted by 16 teenagers who served as ‘young leaders’ with maturity and commitment across the three days – growing in their own skills and personal development.
A highlight of the club was the day trip to the Olympic Park and the chance to go up the Orbit to enjoy the spectacular views across London.
The holiday clubs are organised for each school half-term holiday – in February, May and October.
