Lent Termcard 2026

Happy New Year! We would love to invite you to join us at St Stephen’s this year. Our termcard below shows details of all that is coming up, including:

• A Sunday sermon series in 1 Corinthians 5-14 exploring how God’s grace can transform the detail of church life together

• Home groups looking together at the book of John

• A Lent Course tied to the Passion for Life Mission

• A Christianity Explored course for those looking into the Christian faith or those wanting to go back over the basics

• Monthly youth group and “Big Ideas'“ for our young people.

Celebrate Christmas at St Stephen's!

Isaiah declared that “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light”. The Christmas message is one of great hope, love and joy at the deepest spiritual level.

We would love to extend a warm invitation to join us at our Christmas services, as we rejoice afresh in the hope of this great light.

We will be holding our traditional Carols by Candlelight at 6pm on the 14th of December, which is always a very special evening.

There will be a more informal Family Carol Service, aimed at younger children, on the 7th of December.

We will also be celebrating together on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

May this Christmas be a season of peace and great happiness for you and your household.

Church Family Away Day! Bookings open

On Saturday the 11th of October we will head to Richmond together to hear from the book of Daniel, brought to us by Charles Marnham, to eat together, spend time having fun and maybe enjoying Richmond Park (weather permitting). It should be a wonderful weekend of deepening friendships and fellowship, so please let Katie know if you’re planning to make it as soon as possible! The plan is for the first session of the day to start at 10am, and we will finish around 4:30 or 5pm.

The cost is £10 for adults and £5 for children (to go towards renting the Duke Street Church Centre and to cover our lunch) but if that’s a problem for you, concessions are available.

Autumn Termcard 2025

At the start of the new academic year, there’s lots going on!

• This term we’ll be focusing on Matthew’s gospel on Sundays, morning (10:30am) and evening (6:30pm). In our Home Groups, we will be reading Isaiah 56-66

• We have a church day-away on 11th October, where we are excited to spend time together around God’s word. We are also looking forward to seeing 8 people confirmed on 7th September

• We will celebrate Harvest Sunday on 5 October, Remembrance Day on 9 November, and our Carol Service is at 6pm on 14 December.

• If you’re interesting in learning more about the Christian faith, we will also be running a Christianity Explored course from late September, so get in touch!

Celebrate Christmas at St Stephen's

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas.

Every year, regardless of what has changed in the world and in our lives, it is a joy and a comfort to return again to the familiar but no less wonderful story of Jesus coming into the world, “God with us”.

We would love to extend a warm invitation to join us at our Christmas services, as we reflect afresh on this amazing hope.

We will be holding our traditional Carols by Candlelight at 6pm on the 15th of December, which is always a very special evening.

There will be a more informal Family Carol service, aimed at younger children, on the 8th of December.

We will also be celebrating together on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Remembrance Sunday

We warmly welcome all residents, along with the various groups who serve our communities, to join with us for our annual service of Remembrance, at 10:30am on Sunday the 10th of November.
